APPLICATION GUIDELINES FOR APPLICANT WITH A PROJECT

Eikhoigi Imphal-Documentor 2025 (31 January – 4 February) is a 5-Day Documentary Project Incubation and Pitching Platform designed as a springboard for emerging and seasoned non—fiction filmmakers from the northeastern region. The Selected projects shall be mentored by industry experts and get the chance to pitch to Industry stakeholders

Eikhoigi Imphal-Documentor 2025 is a 5-day Documentary Project Incubation and Pitching Platform tailored to support emerging and experienced non-fiction filmmakers from the northeastern region of India. Selected projects will receive mentorship from industry experts and the opportunity to pitch their ideas to key industry stakeholders. The top project will be awarded a development grant of ₹2 Lakhs

 

The Applicant must be a domicile of the Northeastern States of India.

Co-Director and Co-Producer can be of any nationality.

 

Subject/Themes

The proposed project can explore any subject or theme. We are looking for original local stories with creative treatment, impactful narratives and a strong artistic vision. Projects will be selected based on their artistic merit and resonance with universal themes.

 

Mandatory Materials

Logline (30 words) – One-liner on the essence of the project.

Synopsis (400 words) – Synopsis should provide a detailed overview of the project, contextualizing it within the cultural, social, political, and historical backdrop of the story.

It should highlight the subject, core ideas, key issues, central themes, and thought-provoking questions explored in the film.

Treatment & Narrative Outline (800 words) – The treatment and narrative outline should describe the creative visual and cinematic approach, including the narrative structure, character details (if applicable), visual and audio elements, and artistic techniques. It should convey the film’s overall look and feel.

Filmography: Director/CV (250 words)

Debutants are also encouraged to apply.

Visual Teaser (3-4 minutes) – The visual teaser should complement the proposal and reinforce the written submission, ensuring it does not exceed the specified length.

 

Please Note:

The audiovisual teaser is mandatory for selection as a key element in assessing the project. The visual clip must be between 3 to 4 minutes in duration.

Upload the clip to Vimeo or YouTube and provide the link along with the password in the respective fields. Ensure that the link remains active until the end of March 2025. Ensure adherence to the word counts in the Application Form.

Applications must be completed online. The form allows applicants to save their progress and resume later, to enable them to submit once they are ready.

Incomplete applications will not be considered for selection.

A maximum number of 2 Participants is allowed per project.

The Applicants shall bear their expenses.
